APW - Hamilton, Grade 940 with rare "C.M. & St. P. R'y. Standard" marked dial, 21J, 18S, gold-filled OF recase with a previous owner's name crudely scribed inside rear, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, nickel damascene, s#232507. This watch is highlighted by its rare dial with initials for the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking very sluggishly and out of beat with low amplitude, winds stiffly, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, minor oxide to regulator assembly; dial with outer chapter hls at 2 and 3:30, hl above seconds-register, cluster of fine glaze scratches to center section below-right of center, small edge chip at setting lever; fine minute hand and seconds-hand with oxide, excellent hour hand; case shows little wear, fine scratches to rear, prominent deep ding to band at 11, scattered dings to rear, scattered tiny nicks along band; tight brassy bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
